HOUSEPERSON – GENERAL OVERVIEW
The Housekeeping team is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the hotel, including guest rooms and public spaces. This is an excellent front-line opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in the hotel industry.
Fast-paced and dynamic, the Houseperson role is essential to daily operations and overall guest satisfaction. This multi-faceted position supports both guests and team members by maintaining public areas, restocking supplies, and responding promptly to requests. Housepersons often work collaboratively, with duties typically divided between janitorial functions and deliveries/restocking.


Key Responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness all of public areas, including the lobby, hallways, washrooms, elevators, pool and fitness centre.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of the port cochere and parking lot area of the Hotel and guest courtyard.
• Support Room Attendants by delivering fresh linens and amenities, and removing used items.
• Respond to guest requests by delivering items such as amenities, pre-packaged food, and cots.
• Restock complimentary items in the Elite Pantry (a self-serve lounge for Elite-level guests).
• Retrieve and organize supplies for guest-facing departments.
• Serve as the initial contact for minor maintenance issues when the maintenance team is unavailable.
• Complete project work such as scheduled carpet shampooing or deep cleaning of public spaces.
• Uphold all brand and property standards for cleanliness, safety, and guest service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

• Reliable and flexible, with availability for varied shifts including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physically capable of lifting 25–50 lbs, pushing carts, standing for long periods, and performing repetitive movements.
• Self-motivated, able to solve problems, take initiative, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Position Details
Shifts: 8.5-hour shifts, with start times as early as 6:00 AM and end times as late as 11:30 PM. Ability to cover occasional overnight shifts for vacation coverage is considered an asset.


Full-Time Availability: 32–40 hours per week
Rate of Pay: $18.20
