11 Aug Travel Alberta Names Grant McCurdy of DoubleTree by Hilton™ West Edmonton and Home2 Suites by Hilton® West Edmonton the 2014 Alto Ambassador
Edmonton, Alberta, August 11, 2014 – SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce that Grant McCurdy, General Manager of DoubleTree by Hilton™ West Edmonton and Home2 Suites by Hilton® West Edmonton has been selected as the 2014 Alto Ambassador by the Alberta Tourism Awards Committee.
Each year, the Alberta Tourism Awards Committee recognizes an exceptional Albertan who has made an outstanding contribution to the province’s tourism industry by honouring them as the Alto Ambassador. Grant’s winning nomination, highlighting his successful career of almost four decades in the tourism industry, fully demonstrate the attributes of an Alto Ambassador.
Grant recently led a multi-million renovation converting the Mayfield Inn and Suites into the brand new DoubleTree by Hilton™ West Edmonton and Home2 Suites by Hilton® West Edmonton. His outstanding leadership role ensured a smooth transition of the property and made sure his team continued to deliver exceptional customer services during the renovation.
“It is such an honoured to be named the Alto Ambassador,” says Grant. “As an ambassador, my goal is to continue to inspire my team and peers in the tourism industry to collaborate and work together to build Alberta as a top tourism destination.”
