SBHR: Which of our values is most important when you think about your role as SilverBirch Conference Centre® Concierge?
LC: Definately Engagement. I make sure each room is set up to be the best that it can be; I welcome each guest as they come into the SilverBirch Conference Centre® as I would like to be greeted. I then give them a brief tour of our facility, so they know where everything is, and how to work the coffee machine at the Connections Cafe®.
SBHR: In your role you are working with different clients, departments and meetings. Which value do you keep top of mind when juggling these different experiences?
LC: Performance. That each and every guest, no matter who they are, will get my very best.
SBHR: What do you “value” the most in your role?
LC: It is truly a combination of all of the values, and that simply our guests can depend on me. I will have their room ready and will see to their needs, and maybe have them met even before they know that they need them.
SBHR: Of all of our values, which one influences your day to day activities the most?
LC: Integrity. I have always believed that ‘I should be the same person always, even when no one is looking’.
