SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce that five chefs from their hotels have achieved the Certified Chef de Cuisine (CCC) Certification. Awarded through the Canadian Culinary Institute, the certification is recognized as the highest culinary designation in Canada.
Chefs that have achieved this honour include:

• Jeromy McLeod, F&B Services Manager, Red Deer Lodge

The CCC certification represents the highest standards of managerial and administrative responsibilities, culinary skills and dedication to the cooking profession. To qualify for the designation, candidates must have five years of work experience post Red Seal certification with a minimum of two years in a supervising role in the kitchen. Candidates must complete a series of courses and achieve a minimum of 70 per cent on three examinations testing the candidates’ theoretical culinary knowledge as well as their practical skills.
