The company manages independent hotels and hotels operating under major franchise brands, such as Marriott, Hilton and Radisson.

 

We are looking for a full-time Coordinator, Human Capital to join the Residence Inn by Marriott Vancouver Downtown.

 

The Coordinator, Human Capital will contribute as a member of the Human Capital team, completing assigned projects and providing administrative support and exceptional service to our internal and external customers. The Coordinator, Human Capital, will assist with the day to day management of the Human Capital department and will play a key role in nurturing the hotel’s performance driven culture with an objective to create 100% Guest & Associate Satisfaction.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the day to day management of the human capital department at the hotel.
  • Organizes and administers a variety of human capital programs and initiatives.
  • Supports the recruitment function by completing reference checks, backchecks, prepares offer letters and enters new hire information into human capital information systems. Responsible for the management of all associate information within human capital information systems.
  • Coordinates and administers orientation and all training sessions.
  • Administers benefits including tracking and ensuring eligibility, completes enrollment and updates changes. Responds to associate questions and queries regarding the benefits offer.
  • Administers the Group RRSP and EFAP programs.
  • Plans and coordinates recognition events and initiatives including birthdays, long service, and brand related recognition. Maintains communication boards.
  • Organizes and administers an associate engagement survey.
  • Responds to associate questions and concerns. Escalates matters as appropriate.
  • Acts as the single point of contact for all payroll matters and ensures the accuracy of information in the processing of payroll and maintenance of associate data.
  • Assists the Health & Safety Committee Chair by organizing meetings, driving meeting agenda and completing meeting minutes. Organizes external training as needed.
  • Administers WCB claims and provides reports as necessary.
  • Participates in various human capital projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or business administration
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in human resources
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office working conditions.
