25 years of experience in the industry with previous experience with O'Neil Hotels & Resorts and Westin Hotels & Resorts, opened the Westin Grand and took part in the pre-opening planning for the Westin Whistler.

Sharon Mackay

Sharon Mackay - Senior Vice President, Culture
27 years of experience providing HRS support and service to both public and private sector employers most recently with Westin Hotels and Resorts. Prior experience in healthcare, post-secondary education, and government.

Pierre Plamondon

Pierre Plamondon - Vice President, Real Estate
Mr. Plamondon spent much of the 1980s and early 1990s in Asia, where he both ran hotels and then served as Director of Projects for Mega Hotels. He returned to Canada in the mid-1990s and directed the planning and opening of The Fairmont Chateau Tremblant and then served as the General Manager.

Tony Cary-Barnard

Tony Cary-Barnard - Vice President, Asset Management
Mr. Cary-Barnard has a diversified hospitality background including Westin Hotels and CP Hotels (now Fairmont). He has been with SilverBirch since its inception in 1997 and most recently held the position of Regional Vice President for the Northwest region. He received an MBA from Guelph University and is a graduate from both Western and Ryerson Universities and as well is a recipient of the President's Award of Distinction from the Alberta Hotel & Lodging Association.

Rachel Koller

Rachel Koller - Senior Director of Sales & Marketing
Over 18 years of senior sales and marketing management in the hospitality industry including her own company representing independent resorts and hotels in western Canada and positions with Ramada.

David McQuinn

David McQuinn - Vice President, Food & Beverage
25 years in Food & Beverage services with Hilton, Coast Hotels and Sheraton. Certified chef (CCC), former executive chef, corporate chef and Food & Beverage director.

Pia Collins

Pia Collins - Corporate Director, Human Resource Services
Over 15 years of Human Resources experience in the hospitality, high tech and health care fields. Previous hotel operational experience includes time with Westin Hotels and Resorts and Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

Pieter Vannierop

Pieter Vannierop - Corporate Director, Engineering & Construction
Over thirty years of experience in construction and joined SilverBirch in 1998. He is a Professional Project Manager and a Certified Energy Manager and is responsible for all refurbishment and energy conservation at SilverBirch.

Sandra Kosor - Corporate Director Learning & Development
18 years experience in HR training and corporate learning management roles with specialization in competency-based programming, including 11 years in the telecommunications industry in Nova Scotia and Alberta. Before joining SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts, she was with SAIT in Calgary providing global industry clients with customized accredited learning and development solutions.

Gaétan Brunelle

Gaétan Brunelle - Director of Revenue Management
Over 22 years in hotel operations, management and sales as well as corporate level positions. Prior to joining SilverBirch, Gaétan was Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for Ottawa and Montréal for Westmont Hospitality Group. Gaétan has also worked for CP Hotels and Delta Hotels.

Peter Smolik

Peter Smolik - Director of Information Systems
23 years in IT management including Intrawest, Whistler Lodging Company and IBM.

Trevor Newton

Trevor Newton - Director of Purchasing
36 years in the Hospitality Industry, including 28 years with Westin Hotels & Resorts, 21 years of which, was spent in purchasing roles. Member of PMAC (Purchasing Managers Association of Canada) with a Level II Accreditation.

Susan Ketteringham

Susan Ketteringham - Director of Rooms
Over 22 years in the Hospitality and Customer Service industries, including 14 years with Westin Hotels & Resorts in a variety of roles. Susan has been with SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts for 6 years.

Cindy Siesling

Cindy Siesling - Controller
Chartered Accountant with 15 years of experience. Eight years in the banking industry as Vice President Finance at Citizens Bank of Canada.

Doug Lake

Doug Lake - Director Internal Audit
18 years of Senior Hotel Management experience. Positions have included Corporate Operations Controller, Hotel General Manager and Hotel Controller.

Azim Lalani

Azim Lalani - Director, Finance
A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator. Responsible for taxation, treasury and risk management.
