A 21-year hospitality veteran, Trevor Morgan has been with SilverBirch since 1999, heading up the operations of several hotels as General Manager. He was named SilverBirch’s General Manager of the Year in 2000.
Over 18 years of senior sales and marketing management in the hospitality industry including her own company representing independent resorts and hotels in western Canada and positions with Ramada.
Over 22 years in hotel operations, management and sales as well as corporate level positions. Prior to joining SilverBirch, Gaétan was Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for Ottawa and Montréal for Westmont Hospitality Group. Gaétan has also worked for CP Hotels and Delta Hotels.
A revenue generation professional with over 27 years of hotel sales and marketing experience, Heather specializes in brand relations, transitions and integration of properties with our hotel brand partners, guaranteeing top brand performance and revenue generation. She brings proven skills and abilities in sales and marketing leadership and strategies and is a certified national sales trainer with Achievers World Wide.
A sales and marketing professional with over 24 years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, Caroline has worked in both the USA and Canada. Through her strategic leadership she has developed engaged and passionate teams, delivering effective results in sales, marketing, and in maintaining market share in competitive and growing marketplaces.
Vishal brings over 16 years of hospitality sales experience to SilverBirch. His career began in the Middle East and India, working with several hotel groups. In 2008 he joined Westmont Hospitality Group (WHG) as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for their three downtown Windsor properties, including the Hilton Windsor and the Radisson Riverfront Windsor. In 2011 Vishal was transferred to WHG’s corporate office as Regional Director of Sales and Marketing.
A Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) who brings over 15 years of hospitality and human resources experience to the SilverBirch team. An operations focused HR practitioner with experience in both the public and private sectors providing a unique and well rounded perspective.
With over 30 years of experience in various industries, Herman possesses a sound background as a Human Resources generalist with a significant specialization in labor relations. As such, he has been acting as Chief negotiator for many years and in various jurisdictions. Before joining SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts in October 2011, Herman worked for companies in oil & gas, manufacturing and communications industries to name a few. Herman has also been appointed as an employer member of the Canadian Industrial Relations Board for a 2 year mandate.
Catherine’s career has focused on hotel design and construction. Since 2005, Catherine has been planning and managing hotel refurbishment and renovations for leading hotel brands throughout Canada. Prior to that, she worked for seven years in the interior design industry specializing in hotel design for a variety of hotel owners and brands.
Tom has over 21 years of experience in the Hospitality IT industry, starting with Relax Hotels & Resorts as an IT & application support person. He has gained extensive experience in Hotel operations and integration of systems, even some software development. Tom started with SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts 8 years ago in a Regional Systems Manager role and has advanced to his current Director position.
Tejash has over 12 years of experience as an Engineering and Risk Management professional. Prior to joining SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts in July of 2010, Tejash was a Vice President at Aon Risk Services in Vancouver, providing services to clients with complex insurance programs and risk profiles. He specializes in the development of broad-based, proactive risk management practices including Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
20 years experience in Food & Beverage & Hospitality Industry. 14 years with restaurants and 6 years with hotels . Brad has been a director for 10 years. Member of PMAC (Purchasing Managers Association of Canada).
Doug joined the company in 1997 as Corporate Operations Controller and since 2000 has been the Director of Internal Audit. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Guelph. With over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Doug has worked both domestically and internationally.
Over 20 years of Senior Management experience in the hospitality industry. Positions have included Regional Controller and Hotel Controller with companies such as Four Seasons and Centennial Hotels.
Steve is a Certified General Accountant with numerous years of experience in a multitude of industries particularly overseeing the Finance, Accounting, Tax and Administration for the Canadian operations of Sumitomo Corporation. His passion for the real estate industry led him to Intrawest ULC and other real estate companies dealing with the Westin and the Trump Hotel Collection brands. Prior to joining SilverBirch, Steve worked for HSBC Bank Canada developing their financial and management reports.
Maria is a Chartered Accountant who started her career with Deloitte & Touche LLP providing financial advisory services including merger & acquisition due diligence, business purchase and forensic accounting. Previous to joining SilverBirch, Maria held roles in the Vancouver Olympic Organizing Committee and CHC Helicopters, where she was responsible for operational reporting, capital budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
A part of the SilverBirch team since 2010, Leslie has over 15 years of experience in accounting as it relates to multi-site businesses. Previously with McDonald’s Restaurants, he was responsible for financial planning, budgeting, and profitability analysis. Leslie is a Certified General Accountant (CGA) and he has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta.
Tena obtained her Chartered Accountant designation with Grant Thornton, where she was engaged with many hospitality and real estate related clients, both in Canada and the Bahamas. Tena brings a broad range of finance knowledge from her experience with the City of Richmond and the University of British Columbia. Her most recent assignment has been as Senior Project Manager with HSBC Bank of Canada, managing multiple Finance initiative projects for HSBC’s global platforms.
Hilary brings over 15 years of experience in the technology and hospitality industries. Previously with eBay and Intrawest, she has experience in internal consulting, business transformation, and change management with demonstrated success leading major corporate initiatives to improve core processes.
Mo-Jean is a consummate HR professional with many years of experience in customer centric industries. She has developed an impressive list of programs that include but are not limited to employee and leadership development; employee engagement and multi-level guest service initiatives. Mo-Jean drives operational efficiency through performance and service excellence. She is a goal-driven and effective communicator who enjoys working in service and performance-based environments that promote growth, efficiency, transparency and integrity.
Vivek is a global hospitality professional with 18 years of experience and a diverse professional background gained from working in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Jamaica & St Lucia in the Caribbean Islands and North America. Working in both branded and un-branded luxury hotel environments in operations and food and beverage, Vivek is well versed in renovation and re-opening of restaurant operations.
Eugenia is a respected finance professional with more than 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Previously with Fairmont Raffles Hotels International where she has worked in progressively senior roles, Eugenia has extensive knowledge and experience in finance and operational best practices, policies and internal controls, as well as opening new full and select service hotels.
Ryan is a Chartered Accountant with significant experience related to the capital management of projects and programs valued from $50 million to $6 billion. Previously with KPMG LLP, Ryan provided strategic advice to owners of major capital projects and programs making a substantial contribution to improved capital spending, project performance and the reduction of project risk. Ryan plays a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining effective governance, control, and reporting of capital at SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts.
With over 20 years of experience in the Construction and Development sector, Tony specializes in Resort and Hotel Project Management and Construction. Tony has extensive experience in Project Planning, Document and Cost Control, Contract Execution, and Project Commissioning and Turnover. Before joining SilverBirch, Tony held Director, Project Management and Consultant positions with Jones Lang LaSalle, Joey Restaurant Group, Wyndham Hotels Worldwide and Intrawest Resort Club Group.
